Regimbeau advises QUIET, a start-up offering silent tableware for the catering industry, on the protection and exploitation of its Intellectual Property assets.

Context

After five years of research, Gironde-based start-up QUIET has developed a soundproof tableware designed to improve working conditions for dishwashers in foodservice environments. Thanks to its coating, Quiet tableware reduces the noise generated by clattering dishes in laundries and catering areas by 85%. A truly innovative solution for foodservice staff.

Support

Since 2022, Regimbeau has been assisting QUIET with its Intellectual Property strategy. The start-up wanted to protect its invention, secure its contracts with suppliers and partners, and strengthen its market position.

Regimbeau therefore supported the start-up in studying the state of the art and the patentability of its molds and manufacturing processes by carrying out prior art searches, as well as drafting and filing its patent application.

Regimbeau also advised QUIET in the analysis and drafting of its contracts with suppliers.

These actions have enabled the start-up to build up and exploit its patent portfolio, in particular through the implementation of a long-term exploitation strategy.

By combining innovation, protection and strategy, QUIET has begun to establish itself in the foodservice sector.

In fact, QUIET tableware won first place at the Décibels d’Or 2024 awards in the health, environment and work category. This prize is awarded to inventors of remarkable achievements in improving the noise environment.

Team

As part of this strategy, QUIET was assisted by Franck Delamer, Senior Associate, for the contractual aspects. Frédérique Durieux, Partner, French and European Patent Attorney, and Alexandre Metzger, Patent Engineer, were also on hand to assist with patent matters.

“Regimbeau has proved to be a true business partner who has guided us through its intellectual property advice. The advice of its experts transformed the silence of our products into a distinctive note.”
