Paris, 19 June 2024 – F. Initiatives, a leader in public innovation financing consultancy for over twenty years, and Regimbeau, an Industrial Property (IP) law firm for over 90 years, are joining forces to provide a joint offering unlike any other on the market. The aim? To improve the protection and financial value of innovations by linking IP and R&D.
With a 360° approach and unique support, this collaboration aims to bridge the gap so often observed between the strategies developed by companies in terms of intellectual property, and those put in place in terms of innovation and Research & Development.
More specifically, this cross-functional support is provided by means of an Intellectual Property Strategy Diagnostic. Subsidised up to 80% by BPI France, this involves carrying out an inventory of intangible assets, a study of the competitive environment and the definition of a protection plan through industrial property rights (patents, trademarks, designs and models, know-how, etc.). It is also within this framework that IP Box opportunities can be identified, enabling eligible companies to benefit from public funding in the form of tax reductions. Conversely, this diagnostic also aims to facilitate the detection of potential IP registrations to be carried out as part of R&D consultancy assignments.
By incorporating this “IP Box option” right from the start of the diagnostic process, Regimbeau and F. Initiatives are combining their skills to help protect companies’ innovations and enhance their financial value.

What is the IP Box ?
Implemented as part of the 2019 Finance Act, the IP Box encourages companies to enhance the value of their IP assets through taxation, by providing them with the opportunity to benefit from a preferential rate of corporation tax for income derived from IP and linked to R&D work undertaken on French territory. Eligible companies benefit from a reduced rate of tax, from 25% to 10%.

On September 27, Katia Pouilly, an expert at Regimbeau, will be taking part in the conference ““Does cultural heritage make IP dream?”, organized by APRAM in Paris.
APRAM, “Association des Praticiens du Droit des Marques et des Modèles”, is an international association of lawyers and IP attorneys, dedicated to creativity and innovation in Industrial and Intellectual Property.
The event, to be held at the Maison des Arts et Métiers, will bring together experts to discuss the importance of intellectual property rights in the preservation and valorization of cultural heritage.
Katia Pouilly will be taking part in a round table alongside Havas, entitled “Holding and using IP rights for cultural heritage”.

Since 2022, Regimbeau has been assisting QUIET with its Intellectual Property strategy. The start-up wanted to protect its invention, secure its contracts with suppliers and partners, and strengthen its market position.
Regimbeau therefore supported the start-up in studying the state of the art and the patentability of its molds and manufacturing processes by carrying out prior art searches, as well as drafting and filing its patent application.
Regimbeau also advised QUIET in the analysis and drafting of its contracts with suppliers.
These actions have enabled the start-up to build up and exploit its patent portfolio, in particular through the implementation of a long-term exploitation strategy.
By combining innovation, protection and strategy, QUIET has begun to establish itself in the foodservice sector.
In fact, QUIET tableware won first place at the Décibels d’Or 2024 awards in the health, environment and work category. This prize is awarded to inventors of remarkable achievements in improving the noise environment.
