MABDESIGN, the organization for the French therapeutic antibody and immunotherapy industrial sector, with more than 140 members, has signed a partnership agreement with REGIMBEAU, an intellectual property law firm. This new agreement, in line with MABDESIGN’s strategy to expand its range of business support services, will allow the organization to propose a one-stop-shop offer across all intellectual property domains as applied to biopharmaceuticals.
Through this partnership, the different national actors in the immunotherapy sector (academic teams, start-ups, businesses ranging from VSEs/SMEs to large industrial groups, product developers and innovative-service providers) can benefit from these essential support services to better position their innovation(s) in an increasingly competitive environment. This customized support will cover all aspects relating to industrial and intellectual property: competitive analysis, patent landscape, patentability and freedom-to-operate studies, patent drafting, filing, prosecution and management up through patent granting, defence of granted patents and litigation.
“The alliance between MABDESIGN and REGIMBEAU provides the sector with a full-fledged business intelligence unit dedicated entirely to immunotherapy. This unique competence will contribute to fostering the emergence of start-ups from academic research teams and ensure optimum economic value creation for all players in the industry,” emphasizes Nicolas GROUX, Chief Operating Officer at MABDESIGN. “REGIMBEAU’s proven expertise in immunotherapy naturally makes it a partner of choice,” he further adds.
REGIMBEAU, which has been assisting businesses and project leaders in both the public and private sectors in protecting, developing, defending and strengthening their innovations and creations for over 85 years, also welcomes this new partnership. “This agreement provides the attorneys in REGIMBEAU’s Life Sciences Division with a great opportunity to offer their technical and legal expertise to players in the immunotherapy sector. REGIMBEAU aims to support, through its high-quality services, all current and future members of the MABDESIGN organization,” explains Barbara CASADEWALL, French and European patent attorney and partner at REGIMBEAU.
Furthermore, REGIMBEAU will be intervening, throughout the year, in several training sessions and events organized by MABDESIGN including the 7th Antibody Industrial Symposium from June 24th to 25th in Tours and the Immunotherapy Master Classes from July 11th to 12th in Bordeaux.
