Paris, 31 May 2021 – Google updated in June 2020 its removing content proceedings by adding another option: “counterfeit: sale of counterfeit: sale of counterfeit goods”.

Upon notice, Google will remove web pages selling counterfeit goods from its search results. Counterfeit goods contain a trademark or logo that is identical to or substantially indistinguishable from the trademark of another.

This policy only applies to specific web pages selling counterfeit goods and does not apply to non-counterfeit trademark issues.

Please note that this option allows to obtain the removal of the web pages from the Google search results and not of the web pages themselves.

Regimbeau is at your disposal to assist you in this option and more broadly in the defense of your Intellectual Property rights on the Internet and in the anti-counterfeiting. Do not hesitate to contact us!
