World Creativity and Innovation Day is celebrated every year on April 21. The aim of this day is to raise awareness of the crucial role of creativity and innovation in human development, in all its forms.
From artistic expression (music, drawing, dance, literature, etc.) to the discovery of innovative solutions in the scientific, economic, social or sustainable development fields, creativity takes many forms and impacts all aspects of our daily lives.
On this occasion, Regimbeau is highlighting the importance of protecting ideas to encourage innovation. For over 90 years, we have been helping companies, startups and inventors to secure their creations and innovations through intellectual property.
The figures speak for themselves:
- Less than 9% of SMEs in Europe own at least one of the three types of intellectual property rights, compared with almost six out of ten large companies.
- Startups holding patents and trademarks are up to 10.2 times more likely to obtain financing.
- An unprotected innovation can be copied, exploited or lost even before it is launched.
At Regimbeau, we believe that every idea has the potential to change the world, provided it is protected.
